Once More With Feeling: 2 scenarios if Adam had never sinned

  • Brian · 1 year ago
    Hmm...o.k., let me try..

1.) Scenario #1 - No, because when Adam hadn't sinned he still wasn't righteous in himself - he was righteous in God, who sustained his righteousness and sinlessness through perfect communion with the source and standard of all righteousness.

    2.) Scenario #2 - Hmm...yes, I think this is right, except...you must consider #3

3.) The Eve factor - If Adam hadn't of sinned and taken the apple, Eve would have been really ticked off and it's unlikely that any reproduction would have taken place...

Btw, I found you through Twitter connections...my friend, Ron Dodson, who's friends with Greg Gorman (who I also know, but not well).... I'm at http://www.twitter.com/brianmarsh

    Thanks for the fun!

I think "in themselves" may be ambiguous. But, if Adam if not righteous in himself, as you say, then there is nothing to be imputed from him.....
